Expedia Group carried out a minimal number of layoffs that impacted two groups, one in item and tech, and another in personnels, according to a source acquainted with what took place.
The layoffs were not companywide, and won’t significantly impact Expedia Group’s financials.
“We continue streamlining and reprioritizing resources to attain our organization goals,” an Expedia Group spokesperson said. “This resulted in getting rid of some roles and realigning our investments to guarantee we can deliver terrific innovation and experiences for our travelers. We stay positive in our technique and are delighted about our future as travel need remains high.”
Phocuswire initially reported news of the layoffs.
“This is not a mass layoff however targeted actions,” the spokesperson said. “These are always extremely tough choices, and we make every effort to handle them respectfully.”
