Despite many nations alleviating travel curbs in current months, companies like TUI might not get as close to pre-Covid metrics as they anticipated this year. TUI, the world’s largest holiday business, is seeing an increase in vacation reservations towards pre-pandemic levels, the head of the group’s German company informed a paper.

“Our clients have some reaching do,” Stefan Baumert informed the Funke group of newspapers.

“We are convinced that we can get near the level of 2019,” he said, adding he expected taking a trip to be easier this summertime due to fewer constraints related to the coronavirus pandemic.

TUI last month stated summer season vacation reservations were approaching pre-Covid levels on suppressed demand, with a stable recovery in Britain since constraints and testing guidelines were raised.
